The Conservancy's Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (WRC) tends to wild animals who have been hurt. Each month, the center receives and cares for more than 100 injured wildlife. In a year, the WRC provides care and nurses back to health nearly 2,500 animals with close to 50 percent being successfully returned to the wild. Patients at the WRC include birds, mammals and reptiles. In addition to its behind-the-scenes hospital for injured animals, permanent residents including owls, hawks, pelicans and a bald eagle are outside for public viewing.
